Hi guys. I got question. I played a little with my gh3 and noticed some wired thing. Why movie, which is recorded in M (still pictures) mode, i mean the rotary is set up for m mode, is much brighter than movie recorded in M(movie mode) with the same parameters. One thing is that in M(stills) i cannot change exposure, but generally picture is much brighter. Do you know anything about it?

I dont know how to turn it off, but in 'M' mode the monitor 'auto exposes' the image. The real picture you take will actually be exposed according to the exposure meter.

I am not sure if you are right. It looks the same but when you hit record button it goes brighter. Much brighter. I'll try to put same pictures at vimeo, same parameters in M video and M still mode. Sorry but my english is not perfect so maybe I am missing sth.

If you are recording movies in any of the PSAM modes, exposure will be automatic. When you turn the Dial to the Creative Movie mode, you then have control over the exposure, so you can use P for auto just like recording in P mode; you can choose A and set the Aperture yourself and the camera adjust the rest, or you can go M and set everything yourself. Hope it helps.
