Hi Everyone,

I have recently completed my feature film "Dark Disciple" WITH A GH1 and will be premiering it at Showcase Cinema De Lux Randolph, MA. from October 17 - 23rd. If we pack the cinema we could secure a national release. People are calling "Dark Disciple" the first iconic villain in over a decade.

Hope to see my DVX peeps who live in New England there! (Friday and Saturday are the best days to connect with the cast and crew)

You can view the website and trailer at http://www.darkdisciplemovie.com/

I used the stock lens for establishing shots and some interiors, but (surprisingly) found my 50mm lens gave an exceptionally more cinematic look and I relied on it for most of my shots. If you check out the trailer, you can probably spot the difference if your looking for it. I also used a pancake lens for some wide angle establishing shots.

this looks incredible. Can you share some more details--number of cast and crew, schedule info, budget, etc.

Thank you for your complement. Sorry for the delay. I've been straight out promoting the film and my son just got married. To answer your questions;

Cast/Crew Count? We had approximately fifty cast members and four key crew members. Additional crew members filled in here and there throughout the production (family and friends).

Budget? We're keeping it a secret for now, as we want the press blown away when they try to reconcile it with the outstanding production quality. This can go head to head against anything out there, AND answers the question, once and for all, "Can an indie film match or exceed a studio film?" !

Schedule? Oct. 17 (Opening Day) features various showtimes throughout the day and most of the cast/crew will be there. Friday would be a great time for New England film makers and actors to come and connect on a personal level.

Oct. 18 will be the Official Premiere day (6:15pm) We're trying to get some local celebrities to attend. Again, key members of the cast and crew will be present throughout the day and there will be various showtimes throughout the day.

Oct. 19-23 will feature various showtimes.

Well tomorrow is the debut of my action thriller "Dark Disciple".
Will there be any Massachusetts dvx members attending?

Come on, after all these years are you telling me there's not 1 DVXUser from Massachusetts who is going to attend the film?

Hundreds of people attended the Premiere and the numbers are rising! Hopefully Showcase Cinemas Randolph will extend us through Halloween as we gain momentum.IMG_1300.jpg
