Movie and TV productions using the Sony F3....

Great link Andrew, I gotta check that out.

Last year some of the material I shot with the F3 screened at a few local film festivals. As expected the F3 footage held up really well on the big screen.......... but so did all the 7D and 5D footage that made up the majority of the screenings I attended.

Duke, please add "DEAD WEIGHT", a feature film shot on the F3 produced out of Wisconsin. It looks really great.

I've also had it added to www.ShotOnF3.com where those interested can watch the trailer and find links to the website, IMDB, etc..

Safety Not Guaranteed was great, and looked great too. Interesting insight into how they shot that one on a Panavised F3...shot non-slog to the cards and then "converted to raw" at a Seattle post house. I don't know what they consider raw in the article or how one can convert from 8bit to raw, maybe it's just converted to 10bit and flattened out contrast-wise? Maybe some noise/artifact removal of some sort?

Anyway check this one out of you get a chance. It's only 99 cents on iTunes right now.

Richard you are right, that film really does look great.

Looks like some typo's about the film being shot in 422 to SXS cards?! Also perhaps what they might meant by conversion to raw is simply uncompressing the footage to "no codec", but I'm not sure.

3 features I served as the director of photography using Sony F3s are premiering on Lifetime Networks this month.

On Lifetime "Hidden Away" starring Emmanuelle Vaugier, Ivan Sergei, Allie Gonino, Elisabeth Rohm, Thomas Calabro, and Sean Patrick Flanery:

Hi Robert, if you can email a movie poster, imdb, social media links and trailer link to shotonf3.com I can also see that it gets added there.

Cheers,

The first post has been updated for Roberto's three movies. Out of curiosity does Lifetime buy content? It's great that you had three there.

Apparently the F3 community has been busy. I just did a huge update and added several TV shows as well as eight movies shot on the PMW-F3.

A new F3 movie is coming out: Forbidden Ground (2013) a feature film shot with two F3s and distributed by Lion's Gate.

The first post has been updated. Don't forget to let me know of feature films or TV shows shot on the F3. There's a LOT now. We need a new forum subtitle. The Sony F3, the most under rated cinema camera still being used in professional cinematography. (Or words to that effect.)

principle camera was F3, with EX3 and 5D as b-cams. there was a fair amount of production i was not involved in, and i have yet to see the piece, so i can't say what else was used.
