Movie and TV productions using the Sony F3....

@ Bill, added Sons of Ben to the first post list.

@ Douglas, none of the links on the first page are to trailers. I leave that for the body of the thread. When you have a movie page I'll add it to the list. (Even a free blogger page can be manipulated into a nice movie page. There are other free ones and you need a movie page anyway.)

Hey Bill, I added it to the list but I like to see a website or something somewhere showing that its being distributed.

Adding, "I Will Love" a psychologial drama series about a girl that's dumped by her boyfriend in NY, who moves back with her family and finds out from Grandma that she was born a hermaphrodite. She then needs to realign her relationships. Shot on the F3 using Nikon lenses.

Not sure if this falls into the categories you want to see, but I helped shoot this feature length action sports movie. It was a mix of F3's, RED ONE and EPIC. As well as 5D and Contour cameras.

given the locations we shot in, it speaks highly of what the F3 can endure.

That's an interesting website design when you scroll down.

I probably stated it poorly, but what I am most interested in seeing is that movie or TV show has been completed. I probably shouldn't have said distributed.

Too many people think they are shooting a feature and don't realize how much work, time and money goes into making one even if (or especially if) they are trying to do it cheaply. I don't want to list things that are started but never finished.

understood. this one is definitely completed. Premieres wednesday at the Palms in Vegas, and then DVD and iTunes sales on the 21st.

So, I'm watching the ABC show Revenge on Netflix, which IMDB lists as being shot on Alexa - which sounds right, considering I see rolling shutter artifacts on flash photography in the show.

34 minutes into episode 19 "Absolution" there's a scene with a television interview (60 minutes style), and one of the cameras shown on screen is very clearly a Sony PMW-F3 with a Berkey top plate, and a Ki Pro Mini.

I realize that's not the point of this thread, but I'm opening the question... Is the Sony PMW-F3 used as a B-Cam on Revenge? It would make sense - Alexa C-Log cuts well with F3 S-Log.

Or perhaps it would be the D-Cam - I know that the upcoming show Nashville is shot on three Alexas.

I haven't seen the series, but I did find some behind the scenes photos. They seem to have a variety of cameras, but I didn't find one of the F3 (yet).

CBS used F3 footage in their Royal Wedding Special in February 2011 and 60 Minutes started using F3 footage in June 2011. I consider that big news. Original post updated.

I found some behind the scenes pictures on ABC's website showing the Sony PMW-F3 being used in more than one episode of Revenge along side the Alexa. First post updated.

Updated for:
Christmas Twister (2012) shot all on S-Log F3 starring Casper Van Dien from Star Ship Troopers.

Original post updated for:
Doomsday Preppers (2012) reality television series that airs on the National Geographic Channel with the Sony F3.
