movement in frame

When the cam is locked on a tripod and someone in the frames walks towards the cam or walks parallell to the cam (both normal pase) the footage always looks a bit stroboscopic (also on the timeline) never like on television really smooth. Loks like this kind of movement is already to fast for the codec to keep up with I shoot in AVC-I-100/25p. Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening during the shoot or in post? Does reducing the shutterspeed to 1/50 sec. give any improvement. Probably shooting in 720/50p will help but than I loose resolution. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

You have to remember that on TV they normally shoot 50i (UK) or 60i (USA). Sometimes shows cheat by filming in Interlace then applying filters/effects in post to make a show look filmic. On a differant tact when ive
watched some UK dramas that have been filmed on film, they also show the cadence (Judder) effect you are seeing and thats quite normal.

Theres a lot of posts on here about shutter speeds and settings, might be worth a quick search mate :)

My rule is, if it fast action ie motorsport i usually shoot 1080 50i or 720 50p if i want slomo. If its slower then i use 1080 25p and 50 shutter.

If the cam does not move and there is even very fast motion of the actors there is no problem everything is smooth but even the slowest pan gives stroboscopic result. So I understand this is normal ?

So if you have different kinds of shots regarding movement/panning in one project you mix 720/50p and 1080/50i or 1080 15p (1/50sec.) on the timeline ?
