Used but good condition. I believe this was specifically designed for the Sony F3, but with the 1/4" 20 threaded spots you can attach a quick release plate or a different camera directly to the baseplate.

Does this attach to the V plate with the shoulder pad in place?

Yes. You only need to remove the pad if you want a 15mm rod to pass from the front all the way to the back.
