GH5 Movcam GH5 cage—Arca Clamp issue?

Hi all,

For those of you who use the GH5 Movcam cage, what Arca clamps are you using to attach it via the built in arca plate on the bottom? I need a clamp I can attach to a Manfrotto 501PL plate to easily swap between tripod, monopod, and glidecam.

I went ahead and bought this Kessler, and fully clamped down the cage still slides forward and back easily. Also tried the cheaper Desmond DLV-50 and no dice either, super loose. Neither of these can bne tightened further. I'm also interested in the RRS B2-40-LR but it doesn't appear to have a 1/4 20 tap on the bottom. Any advice? Seems like Movcam dropped the ball on making a "compatible" arca plate...

Thanks Ned. That's a bummer. I've actually got a couple of those 501 plates, am just looking to swap over to Arca Swiss since I use 2 of these cages. If anyone uses them successfully on some sort of clamp please let me know!
 
RRS’s B2-LR-II Lever Release Clamp works well with the Movcam GH5 Cage’s Arca Plate

”The center socket has female 3/8"-16 threads...Two additional 1/4"-20 threaded holes are spaced 30mm apart from the center socket.”

I also use RRS’s B2-PRO/L Screw Knob Clamp, but prefer the Lever Clamp’s more compact design.

Both of the clamps were already part of my stills photography kit, & repurposed for use with my motion gear, so there may be better options available today, especially the Screw Clamp which is a bit long.

Suggest using two screws to attach the Clamp to your Camera Plate.

Oh man, thanks! Surprised I didn't see that the LR II has 1/4 20 taps. Thanks, happy to hear it works well with the Movcam Arca plate as well!
 
Just tested Movcam GH5 Cage’s camera plate on a variety of Arca-Swiss standard quick release clamps, & it worked flawlessly. The various clamps were from Arca-Swiss, Foba, RRS, Kirk Photo, & SmallRig.
 
Just realized the specs I quoted are off. For some reason the RRS’s “overview” webpage for the B2 LR II is mistakenly displays the information for the longer B2 LLR II.

The correct specs are the 1/4-20 threads are spaced 15mm from the center 3/8-20 thread, & 30mm from each other.
