Mounting the AF100 sideways

So I have a gig coming up and the client wants a "long" piece of video down the side of their webpage. I did a similar shoot once a while back with my RED and a heavy duty L bracket. This time I'm going to use my AF100. Has anyone taken off the side handle and mounted a tripod plate? Do you think it'll be strong enough? or should I get another L bracket.

Should be ok as long as the lens isn't too heavy. I guess the budget doesn't allow to build the set sideways? LOL!

Of course, if the "long" piece of video is shorter than 1080 pixels (likely for a web page) you don't actually have to mount it sideways.

Most people just edit it in a custom composition in after effects.

Cool- this is how you get it to work for a vertical HD monitor? (as opposed to a vertical section of a webpage) Tall screen, I guess, instead of wide screen?

Then what do you do after AE, encoding-wise? Use the custom dimensions- 1080x1920?

Did the shoot today by mounting it sideways, and it worked pretty slick. I'll post a picture in the morning of the rig. My client was asking me about post, and how to set it up in FCP7. I told him I never had to deal with sideways footage in post, but I offered to try to set it up. I tried to rotate each clip and make the sequence a custom frame size. Theoretically it should have worked without rendering, but FCP required me to render. There has got to be a way that doesn't involve rendering. Do any of you have a good idea on how to do this?
