Mounting H4N to GH1 with Flash Bracket Mount?

Long story short, Zoom H4N has arrived, I love it, need a nice way to mount it to the camera. I've seen all the option to use a little gimbal and mount the H4N directly to the hotshoe mount. However, is anyone using a Flash Bracket mount and mounting the H4n to that? Obviously I'd still need the small little gimbal connector to mount it to the hotshoe mount on the Flash Bracket mount... I just don't want to have to use those huge circular rigs! And I don't have a dedicated sound guy because I'm a nobody videographer at the moment.

Here are some examples of what product I'm talking about:

Do you think this will also help alleviate handling noise from the camera rather than just mounting the H4n in the most direct way with just a little gimbal?

Whatever you choose, a hotshoe adapter, a bracket or dedicated rig, be advised that Zoom recorders have no vibration isolation of the microphone caps. It means that if they are hard mount to the camera by any of the mentioned ways they tend to pick every subtle touch of your fingers to the camera. So focus or zoom pulling while shooting may produce quite severe low frequency rumble. Not sure about particular bracket designs and how prone they are to it.

Ah, guess thats what all the "no shock mount" issue is with the h4n. In your opinion, as a one man job it surely must make handling a GH1, H4n and shotgun mic more manageable without carrying a whole steadicam rig?
