Perhaps my ability to search is failing me, but I can't find any shoe adapters for less than $30?

Seems like this should be a pretty cheap thing. Suggestions?

(sorry for the noob post!)

Search 'hot shoe adapter' or 'hot shoe mount'. There are many.

First page - $17

eBay is another resource if you're on the cheap.
