Mounting dimensions

Can anyone tell me the distance from the threaded mounting holes on the bottom of the AF100 to the front of the camera (where the lens mount flange is)? Also, I think I read somewhere there is a 3/8 hole as well as the 1/4, is that the case?

My camera should be arriving January 4th, but in the meantime (while I'm impatiently waiting!) I want to figure out my baseplate strategy. Thanks for any help!

Howdy, Brian!

Yeah, your Zacuto baseplate should work fine, I would think... Do you use it with your GH1?

I'm just concerned that my follow focus may not fit when using very short lenses (like the Canon FD 50mm I have), given the way I have my IndiRails riser set up. I may need to just get some longer rods so I can mount to the back of the riser instead of the front, as I'd sawed off my rods for use with my 7D. But if the front of the AF100 projects out far enough, I should be fine...

I have the DSLR Shoot35 baseplate for my GH1(3). I would think with the adapter from micro 4/3 to Canon FD the lens kind of gained a little bit of length, so maybe it's enough. What follow focus are you using? I have a Redrock one and it works just fine with all my short Nikon's on My GH1(3).

With the FD to m4/3 adapter attached, there should be just barely enough room for my follow focus to hit the focus ring on the 50mm, as long as I can snug the follow focus all the way back so the gearbox is almost touching the body of the camera. The issue may be that I can't slide it back that far, because of the way I have my rails mounted to the riser; it depends on the measurement I asked for in my first post.

So again, if anyone out there who has their camera could take a second with a ruler for me, I'd much appreciate it. Then I'll know if I need to get longer rails or something.

If not, I guess I'll find out on Tuesday when the glorious big brown truck shows up!
