Mounting C Mount lenses on a B4 Varicam

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place but I was interested to see if any of you knew if it was possible to mount C Mount Lenses on a B4 Mount camera like the HDC27 Varicam? Does an adapter like this exist and would the Cmount lens cover the sensor area? All i can find is C mount body to B4 Lens adapters. Thanks

I've never seen such a thing, and I doubt it exists. B4-mount cameras have an optical block with a beam-splitting prism. C-mount lenses are meant for film or single-chip sensor cameras. A B4 to C-mount converter is possible because the converter can contain an optical block that mimics the effects of the optical block in a B4 camera.

c- mount BFD is 17.526mm. BF BFD is about 45mm
you'd need to dig 28mm into the camera body to be in focus. Not to mention optical anomalies related to installing single surface focusing lens to a 3 plane focusing camera...
