Mounting a Ninja Blade on the D750

While I'm still waiting eagerly to get a C100 MKII next month, I'm continuing to try to make my D750 work for me as best I can for now. After I came across the other threads here on using the Cinevate Universal Accessory Mount to attach a Ninja Blade to the C100, I figured I'd get one ahead of time and try it out on my D750. I'm happy to say it works like a charm!

I used a couple of other cheap parts to hook it up to my hotshoe. Here's the full list:


I wanted to see if I could optimize the number of parts a tiny bit further, so I just ordered one of these SmallRig hotshoe adapters that has the 1/4"-20 female stud built-in. We'll see how that works out, but either way I think this will be a great setup!

I guess case in point with tihs post, I'm looking to buy my first real cinema camera that doesn't require anything extra rigged up to it, that can be my workhorse for learning cinematography (specifically in more run-and-gun type scenarios). The C100 MKII I've determined after lots of research and budgeting fits perfectly for that for me, and the D750 will continue being my workhorse for all things photography.
 
Are you going to use your Nikon lenses on the C100? If so, what type of adaptor will you be using?

I hadn't planned on it. I currently have the 10-18, 18-135, 70-200/4 IS, and 17-55/2.8 for my C100 so I'm pretty well covered there already.
 
May I suggest you the Edelkrone monitor/evf holderto mount your atomos ninja blade to the d750 or even your C100 in future. It will be a life chaging experience. Almost like the first time you use a bidet. ;) :D
