GH2 Mounting a microphone to 15mm rods

Greetings, I wanted to mount a microphone to my 15mm rods and not finding a lot of options other but then I came across this. Seems to look good and its cheap. I was going to mount a shockmount I have or just get some type of mike clip...

Anyone else got any options. I need something fuctional, compact and cheap. I'm planning on using this mike with a zoom

I don't own one, but this (link to Ebay) might be another inexpensive option- you should be able to attach your shockmount from there.

I wouldn't expect the plastic tip of the screw will give you enough grip to prevent rotation. I also be a bit concerned that the uncircular clamp might scratch the rods, making it more difficult to slide things on and off. kenkyusha's ebay item looked promising, but I prefer accessory mounting clamps that span the two rods.

While it's not that cheap ($65) it's really solid and useful for all sorts of stuff. I often put a shock mount on it (need an adapter or bushing if the shock mount has a 3/8 hole).

I would definitely never ever use this on my rods! As said the clamp will damage the rod.

An option is to get a mono block from express35 http://express35.com/?p=288
and screw a shock mount on it http://goo.gl/LoRJa . (check the sizes of the scerws, but they should be the same size)
