this is my entry to the contest, shot on DVX100b with no color correction, it has to advertise mountain dew and r-store and have a back to school theme. feedback (positive or negative) is appreciated!

Most of the footage on your vimeo looks a little bit under exposed. Keep an eye on your histogram to make sure you are getting the highlights actually bright.
 
thats odd i thought a lot of the outside shots were overexposed. thanks though, just curious, do you use zebras or something else? when you say histogram, do u mean in my NLE or is there a histogram function on the DVX?
 
the histogram will be in your editors levels correction, it will show you highlights, midtones, and shadows. Use the zebra mode but if only a few spots are overexposed dont worry about it.
 
nicely shot. but it kinda lacked out of point in the end. If you focused moore on the story, less shooting it should really be a good comercial. I think the WB worked like a cool effect... nice work dudes
