Motocross films

Very nice. I just recently shot a motocross race for a Doc. that I am putting together. I like the footage and I cant get over the fact that the HVX shoots true Slow mo. Its amazing. Keep up the good work! I am going to try to post some of the stuff that I have shot also. Take it easy!

Sweet stuff, when you have a moment could you post a brief workflow while shooting motocross. Curious if you’re using P2 cards or one of the larger direct drives. Next time your up at Washougal MX let me know; I live down the street from the track and always have plenty of cold beverages on hand plus high-speed internet which is hard to come by up here at the track amongst the trees and mountains.

I will take you up on the offer next year at the Washougal national!
I decided to go the Firestore 100 route, and I have had no trouble at all. I did not buy any P2 cards, as the price and lack of recording time seemed prohibitive. I shoot at 720/60 and slo-mo using frame rate converter in FCP 5.2. The Firestore does not let you shoot at 720/24 at 60 frame rate to get slo-mo- at least it didn't in my brief experimentation. I think the Firestore 3.0 update will address that.
Thanks-
Simon

loooks sweet. Man, got to love those bright luscious colors. Certainly what sets the HD and HVX apart... Thanks for showing!

Great vids! Way back in the day I used to race, been thinking about going to a local track to shoot some footage.

What software and compression settings do you use for your online videos? The color and quality are amazing!!
