Motion of D90 24p comaprison?

I have been looking at the motion of the 24p from the D90 and it looks a lot different than the motion of the 24f I get from my XHA1. Has anyone had the chance to see this or compare? If anyone has any technical knowledge as to why this is then I would love your input.

Thanks!

You'll see a huge variance in the shutter speed used from one d90 shot to another since there's no terrific way to control shutter speed on the d90 (yet). This may be what you're seeing.

In one shot the motion may be pretty smooth.. with significant (sometimes too much) motion blur). In other shots (brightly lit outdoors, for example) you may see shots that look pretty choppy with almost zero motion blur (similar to the action sequences in the movie "Gladiator", for example).

Is there a shot in particular you wanted us to take a look at?

I think I know what he means as well, aside from the shutter/iso difference even when locked, there seems to be that distinct d90 grainy motion... I cannot explain it.... or am I going mad?

what do you mean? when the exposure is locked it's locked. are you saying that it still can change or that locking is supposed to somehow affect the settings before you hit the lock button? now that's metaphysical... ;-)
