Motion File-Path Question

Hey guys I have just started using Motion 4 and am just curious about how the file paths etc work in it. I'm constantly sending clips from FCP to Motion for touching up etc and even creating new items from the ground up in motion and a seem to have files everywhere :/ Just wondering if someone could give me a basic outline of how it works Much appreciated.

David, that approach works- if you don't have to export the project into Color. As soon as you do that you'll have to convert Motion files into QT files. It will actually save time and headache if you export from Motion QT file (through QT conversion) into one folder and then re-import it into the project.
