I have a car driving by. I accelerated the shot by 300% in Premiere. It just looks choppy. Is there a way to make this look more realisting in AE using some sort of motion blurr effect?
I don't use after effects but sometimes you can get away with linear blur depending on the situation.
I've used the ReelSmart motion blur plug in before in a different program and it does what it sais. It's available as a plugin for AE also.
AE may already have something equivalent but I'd thought I'd share anyways.
Amadou, please do yourself a favor and go through the basic learning materials: http://adobe.ly/bjBT3P
It will save a lot of frustration in the long run.
I just tried the Reel Smart motion blur. It looks great. How does the Red Giant motion blur in WARP 1.0 compare? What about the AE built in motion blur (which I can't figure out how to use)? Is it worth it to pay a hundred euros for the Reel Smart?
Yeah, I second the vote that you take some time out of your post-production schedule and try and learn some basics about the tool you keep asking basic fundamental questions about.
Bring the clip into AE. Speed it up to desired time. Add Effect > Time > CC Force Motion Blur. Turn on Frame Blending and Motion Blur in the comp, and Frame Blending on the layer.
