GH2 Mostly GH2 Reel

Hi all,

I was hoping to get some feedback on my reel. A good portion of the footage is GH2 although there are a few 7d, hfs100 and some 2/3" standard def shots mixed in. I am happy to answer questions about specific shots if your wondering what camera it was.



Also if your interested in more GH2 footage here is a teaser for a short I recently completed with the GH2.

You have some great stuff in there.

Here is my .02...

I'd limit it to 60 seconds MAX. You have enough material there to get 30-60 seconds easy. Just choose the cream of the crop though, no need to include everything, just impress with the best for 30-60 seconds.

I'd also drop the music and maybe look at some "royalty free" options. It will give a more professional feel to your work.

You have some great stuff in there, only exemplify what you see as the best!
 
Thanks for the feedback. I do plan on cutting it down when I get some time. As to the music, it is royalty free and licensed to me. Was there something about the song you didn't like?

The reel seems more like a series of selects from one project. To really get the most impact out of a reel it should be highly diverse and show a variety of different stuff, otherwise it's more of a trailer/sizzler reel. Nothing wrong with that... but when people look to see a reel they want to see like what has been said, the cream of all of your work.
 
Thanks for your reply. I definitely understand your point Justyn. At the moment I don't have many projects that i have done cinematography for but as things come along that is changing rapidly. However, there are about 7 projects in this reel, the problem i believe is that many of them had the same actors which comes from being in college.
