Most compact download solution?

I have some international trips coming up where I need to travel as compact as possible, but need to double backup all media, possibly shipping home copies as needed. For many of these days there will be a DIT to backup the jobs, but I'd like an additional solution for personal work.

Ideally I'd use an iPad, or better yet, iPhone, to move the files from card to a pair of hard drives.

I already started a thread about using the iPad, but couldn't edit the title, so am starting this broader version.

"Download via iPad?"

I'm open to any idea. iPad, Netbook, Nexto, USB-OTG, or whatever.

The simplest might be to dupe SD in camera, while the next seems to be connecting the AF100 directly USB-OTG drives. The USB-OTG solution seems promising, but I'm not sure how practical.

Thanks,
Bern

I would think that you wont find a more compact solution than either or both of those.
Maybe...get a Pelican Card case for your SDs. It will offer a degree of security against losing the tiny little b*ggers.

You can always use the camera to "confidence" check your rushes.
