F35: Most barebones F35 set-up?

I am interested in getting an F35 for that image, wondering what is the most minimalist set-up. I am hoping to power via V-mount batteries and record to a Blackmagic Video Assist in 10-bit 422.

Any suggestions also for building it up (rail system, top handle, shoulder-mount, handles). Priority is quality accessories, but also want to keep weight to a minimum.

Thank you in advance!

Not quite the smallest setup possible, this is what I have arrived trying to make F35 a light weight camera that can be held for hours on the shoulder.

Things I would recommend:

1. Get the 7Q, they can be found for 1500 on eBay with a couple 256gb drives. The samsung SSD's that work with the 7Q are cheap now too. I understand the appeal of the video assist, it is super cheap, but considering the fact that Convergent Design is actively supporting the F35 is a big seller. You will like the ability to do high speed 50P and 12-bit Prores 4444.

2. If you insist on a cheaper recorder the samurai blade might be a better option. The blade is proven with the F35 and also has the ability to convert the 24psf output of the camera into true progressive which is a nice feature instead of having to do this in post, you don't have to but I always do to ensure maximum compatibility.

3. Loosing the IF box was my main objective when I bought my F35. However it seems I want audio on nearly every job I use my F35 for and it has become a normal part of my camera. Sometimes I like that the IF box makes the battery more of a back weight also.

If you really don't need the IF box, there is a plate that many F35's have that has the same mounting holes as the back of the IF box but it is just a dead plate that mounts to the F35 dock. Track down one of these and mount your battery plate directly to it.

@yachacha Thank you, nice set up! The 7q+ has the same functionality as the 7q, correct? How much does your rig weigh and how large are the 444 file sizes?
