Morgan Pressel Snippet

This is a short extract from a recent shoot in which we interviewed a number of leading LPGA players. It was shot with a Panasonic AF101 with a Voigtlander 25mm F0.95 lens, shooting on an Atomos Ninja lens at ProRes LT setting.

I am constantly suprised at just how great this camera performs, especially using this lens and Ninja combination. I recently hired a Sony F3 for a couple of days, but just didn't enjoy using it, I much preferred the ergonomics of the AF101 - and with results like this clip, who needs anything else? (for this type of work!) - Sparky :Drogar-Happy(DBG):

Morgan looks great (so does the video- ha ha!).

She lives about 20 miles from here, where we have brutally strong, nearly tropical sun.
Or heavy clouds. Or both, changing every 10 seconds, back and forth. Unless it's pouring rain... :undecided

But your sunny stuff looks nice, too! I'd love to see a side by side comparison of the Ninja and internal AVCHD. Do you record a backup to the SD cards?

And sorry, I know I've asked you this before, but what Gamma/Matrix do you use? Thanks Sparky!

Forgotton what settings I use now - have settled on a nice set up - will check and let you know. But I have been really happy with the colours, skin tones, everything. I do record everything to the internal cards as well so I'll try to do a side to side comparison for you. Just watching the US golf now, temperature is almost 120 degrees! Must be close to that in Miami? Cheers, Sparky

Actually it's "only" 94 here, and just like I said, 20 minutes ago it was blazing sun, now it's black clouds...

But yeah, no jackets like in Scotland!

Look forward to the test and settings (you don't change them? Interiors and exteriors?)-
cheers!

Actually the weather in Scotland was very pleasant! No I don't change my settings, perhaps I should. I can always have a play with the image in post if I need to tweak anything.

I've never had that issue with blown out footage, must just be my settings. The blown out areas look fine in this Pressel clip. But the lens is sooo nice...
