Welp...
This is some footage I shot of a paintball tournament from one of the teams I am following. This was a "special features" match from a DVD I just produced.

The original footage was pretty ugly as it was really hazy, overcast, and about to rain. So I did some magic bullet stuff.

Shot at:
1000 shutter / Open Iris
Audio from a Sennheiser 66 shotgun
Edited with FCPHD, 3-way color corrector, & Magic Bullet tweaking.
Music by "Attacked By Rats" www.myspace.com/attackedbyrats

The team I filmed are The Blowfish. They are a single-shot pump team with 2-semi auto suppressive fire backup, who compete against full teams of semi-automatic markers shooting 10-25 rounds per seconds. And they still win.

Bah those refs were much better than I've ever had, one time a guy got blatently gogged and wiped it on a bunker, it was so ****ing blatent. I pointed it out to the ref who was no more than 10 feet away and he simply said, "**** off".

I guess it was so many tourneys like that the just got me slowly to stop playing, that and my BKO never ****ing worked (piece of ****)

I can't blame ya... It happens alot, but the NPPL refs must go to training camps now and they are watched upon. They try their bust. The guy who said that "**** off" comment, are what contribute to the poor sportsmanship of paintball today.

Also... people spend $1000-2000 for a complete gun setup only to have them keep breaking/mainting. I would be pissed if I had a BKO that kept breaking too. Those things aren't cheap. And then you have to spend the $60-$120.00 on paint and play for the day.

if yo uwant a gun that works, buy a used Angel. its a tank. I ve had mine for 6 years. Almost perfect record on perfomance. the only time it didint owrk was when my battery died once.

But uh, that game looks awesome. i miss stock games. noone plays them around here in NY. its all 12 yearolds with Intmidators shooting 20+ balls a second.

That was pretty cool, though it's difficult to tell what's happening. A multi-camera shoot would be cool.

I played paintball once. It was about a hundred times scarier than I thought it would be, once the bell sounded. I went in thinking I'd be Rambo, but I acted more like Jeremy Davies in "Saving Private Ryan." It was extremely fun, though.

Wave, make sure to cut us some ULTIMATE BUNKERING sort of reel of all the tournies you've taped!

I love to see some chubby back man (no offense to anybody) get his ass handed to him by one of the 1337 front guys (i played front, so I'm biased).

Man, it's good to see there's some ballers in here!

lol. Wish I had another camera... but I can only afford 1 DVX.
I have plenty of bunkering moves, but they're on the DVD.
I do have a montage which I shot on my TRV 900 I did over a year ago. There's a bunker in there and couple guys getting drilled in the head.

I shoot a Phantom myself. Used to have an Intimidator, but I found I actually hit more people with my pump in 40 rounds, than I can with an Intimidator and 600 rounds. I looove stock play.

annecdote:

There was this pro guy who used to play for team GroundZero in NY. I lent him my antique Splatmaster for a game, and the bastard shot almost 6 people with 25 rounds. then he precedded to use his ( at the time the hottest gun) Eclipse-Angel, and shot alllllll of us. that was liek back in 97'. IT jut goes to show, that equipment pales in comparison to the operator. he would have kicked our asses with anything.

**** im only 22 have i really been playing for 9 years? seems liek only yetserday

sort of why its pointless to say one camera is better than another. Disjecta would make hot stuff with a handycam. he doesnt need a DVX to make beautiful things.
