Hi
Being a new user of the HVX200 I have been doing some initial tests and noticed a considerable increase in noise when shooting at 1080i 24fps rather than 30fps(P). Has anyone else experienced this? The reason I ask is that I need to shoot at 24fps to transfer ultimately to film, I do not want to shoot at 30/60i to remove 3:2 and I will be undertaking a considerable amount of vfx (chroma screening and 3D tracking) so I need the minimal amount of noise possible to achieve the accuracy required for this. I just find it very strange that at 24p there is more noise than shooting at 30p?
I am also considering investment in a Letus EX and wondered if this would help the noise issue though my current assumption is that this is a chip artifact and not a glass problem.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
cheers
