I drive to shoot weddings on a big scooter and I use a shoulder sling bag that Id use with the tripod/monopod/stabilizer/slider. but I dont think id be able to fit them all in.

Nitzan on youtube likes it very much.

itd be cheaper than buying both separately and being able to switch to either would be a big plus. I like the fact that you can slide the gimbel up and down the pole and the two weights at the bottom come out very quickly for quick packing.

2 minuses
-would benefit from an oil change. no problem. can do that
-flexes a little in monopod mode- just need to be a little careful.

will get a small fluid head and use a QR plate on it. have a quick release tray on the stabilizer so I can switch back and forth quickly. so can slide the head on by using a QR tray on the stabilizer then slide it in. always have the QR plate on the camera so I can remove the fluid head, slide the camera in the stabilizer tray and continue quickly.

anyone use this product?

Nitsan also said that a $100 chinese tripod head was better than Sachtlers.

Take a look at the Steadicam Solo - more balance adjustment/generally more reputable. Not that I know if it's good or not.

I dont know what he was comparing to and in what context he said its better, but today, there are a lot of great chinese products that are as high a level or even better than OEM gear. slaves for instance. I am a pro stills photog, but trying to learn video because there is a hybrid thing going on for cashing in more money. anyways back to slaves. pocket wizard vs yongnuo 622n. I have 6 622 slaves and they work flawlessly. pocket wizard will go bankrupt within 2 years in my opinion. its the film lab that never made the transition to the digital world. they are no longer relevant today in the very good quality cheap slaves yongnuo and many others offer for such a great price.

there is no reason to buy such expensive gear anymore for a lot of things. ball heads. I had a markins 20 head. great head. bought it years ago for the ripoff price of $400 or so.today for $150 my benro v1 head works just so well. I dont see the reason one needs to spend more for a great product. the chinese products offer so much for so little. same with flashes. I have 2 nikon flashes I use on camera. but all my off camera flashes I use are all yongnuo. and I use a lot. I beat on them, they fall, and keep working but for $70 its just a no brainer.

but back to steadicam cam. its out of my price range. I dont believe you get what you pay for though with many things. so not sure the monocam cant do as more expensive name brand gear. im leaning towards it though. steadicam is aluminum, correct?

I can write a list of lenses (and other photo products as well) nikon make that are not worth the money. two items that come to mind. 1 lens 58 1.4g, the other the DF camera. overpriced for what they offer.
