Who played the series? Loved it. Remember playing the first one in the early 90s when I was about 8.

Anyone played the latest one, Tales of MI? Or the remake of the first one?

Feel free to mention any other old school PC/Amiga etc games you loved playing. (and still do if you're nostalgic like moi.)

I played, I'm playing.... the other day I started playing again, for me is the best game series ever.
I've never been able to Finnish a game (in difficult mode) without the help of a guide (in certain puzzles..).

Yeh same, horay for youtube! LOL.

you played the latest MI?

Yep, I find out about it last month. It has only been released in USA (and another few countries) so I it didn't get here, so I missed it.

But I got it and I must tell that I liked it, the character design was a bit different but the storyline was interesting for me. And the puzzles were also challenging, many times I couldn't figure how it was. But that's how it is supposed to be. You have to really have to make your brain work! The ending was a bit anticlimax but that opens the door for another one!

You can buy the whole game online, thats Tales Of Monkey Island. Gunna do it next week when I have some dollar!!

Remember Kings Quest, Flashback etc?

I really loved Archon on the C64 and Amiga. Sort of a chess game where the individual pieces had to survive one-one-one combat for possession of each individual square on the board.

Yeh I remember a game similar to that, in the 90s, where the chess pieces are like robots or something, or at least one of them is and they have a fight and one loses. Was really cool. What was it called? Im sure it was on Amiga or something?

When I bought my first new Mac, a 733 G4, I also bought "Escape from Monkey Island"

But nothing can replace my all-time favorite arcade game......

Anyone else remember those Yllabian Space Guppies?

Monkey Island! I thought I read this correctly. Grew up with it. Amazing, pure amazing.

I'd rather play more games like this now than half the crap they got out.

I agree!!!! The good old adventure games!

I am rubber, you are glue. Awesome game. Talk about "cinematic" approach to games. Without being 3D or overly realistic, these games are still very much cinematic. Great plot, great lines, great jokes, great visuals, great music. After all, Lucas Arts belongs to Lucas Films. Space Quest and other kinds of "quests" were never as good.

Other great games are Indiana Jones series (Fate of Atlantis is mesmerizing, and music is top notch, as good as in any high-ranked Hollywood movie). Maniac Mansion was a lot of fun. And the other one... with TUM-DE-DUM invaders from Space.

Ah... great games. I don't play modern photo-realistic motion-capture games, they are too boring.
