monitoring channel 2 audio

hey guys and gals,
I seem to be having trouble monitoring my shotgun audio on channel 2.I can hear channel 1 fine sennheiser wireless lav, but my sennheiser shotgun, dont hear anything.Any thoughts?
 
Do you have a battery in the Sennheiser (assuming ME-66) and is it turned on?
Or, is phantom power turned on, on the DVX? And, the mic has to be turned on as well.

If that doesn't fix the problem, let us know. Thanks.
 
Also, is the shotgun channel set to line level? Should be on mic level if you are bringing it in directly.
 
i have it set to phantom power, mic level.It is set to channel 2.I can see the audio level on the viewfinder and when i play back the tape it sounds fine.I just can't hear the audio when I am recording,I only see the level on the lcd and viewfinder. Yes it is an me-66 sennheiser. I only have 6 hours record time on the camera.I will check the internal mic and see if I can monitor that at all.I hope I dont have a problem with the camera.
