Check local TV repair shops, talk to the owner / operator and tell them what you are looking for, and how to contact you. I did this, and initially they had nothing, but a few weeks later, one called back and said he had a Sony 13" broadcast monitor. I checked it out and it was plenty bright, no burn in, good color. and cheap - $75. Thank you. I've also seen a guy on e-bay that refurbishes used broadcast monitors for resale - he has had some really nice stuff on there - but rarely for $75.
