monitor viewing - BNC or SVHS?

I'm shooting an industrial that will not be broadcast through the air. I believe they are distributing it on DVDs. Using a SVHS cable to connect the camera to the monitor gives a brighter picture than using the BNC connection. To properly evaluate the image, which cable should I be using? Since I'm shooting with 2 cameras I do need to use BNC cables frequently, so I can switch between camera for matching. My monitor only has one SVHS imput.

don't suppose you have a switcher?

On a side note I too am interested in the best way of getting preview out. I have a monitor with 3 bnc and 1 svid as well, i just use the SVID.

The S-video input will give you a few more lines of resolution which will help in the fine details and focusing but the BNC (composite) input will probably be fine for matching colors/levels between cameras.

Svideo is better by nature (separate luminance and chrominance), BNC is compose so less quality. Anyway a calibrated monitor will be fine with BNC or Svideo, until now I did lots of videos using BNC as reference image, now with DVX I'm using more the Svideo to get a improved image (good for details settings)
Go for Svideo if you can, but in any case, calibrate the monitor with colorbars for any cable you are using.
