monitor(s) for Premiere / After Effects CS5

I'm thinking new monitor(s) for a new desktop (still very much in planning stage). Assume an Nvidia GeForce GTX 570 graphics card, which supports both DVI and HDMI outs, and has multiple monitor capability.

Editing I can do (and do now) on a single computer monitor. The problem comes in doing any color correction because the monitor isn't calibrated and can't support a TV color space (have to have Rec. 709 for HD, nice to have Rec. 601 for SD but not required). So... how to edit and do color correction on the same machine?

I'm thinking (and may well be wrong, hence this thread) that I have two basic choices. Please do correct me if my thinking is screwed up (again). :embarasse

Option one would be an HP DreamColor monitor since it does support the TV work spaces.

Option two seems to be using two monitors, one for all the editing stuff, and one to display the main window for Premiere / AE so I can color correct, etc. I'm thinking a normal computer monitor and a smallish HDTV. The computer monitor connecting to the graphics card via DVI connector, the TV through the HDMI connector.

But.... will that work? Will the graphics card and Adobe software let me do that? If not, how should I be doing this?

Pretty much all TV's these days have HDMI input....as you said, just have your primary monitor for editing and set the TV to be your "secondary monitor" and use it for color correction....just make sure the TV is calibrated.
