Monitor Resolution & Connection

I am connecting my HVX to a monitor whose manufacturer gives the following specs:

Total Dot Count: 392K (1440 x 272 R+B+G)

I know this is not a full resolution HD monitoring solution, but here is my question. They offer a component or a composite connection. Given that the composite out on the HVX is limited to 480i no matter what format I am recording in, does it make any sense to opt for the component out connector instead? This is a small monitor (4.3 inch diagonal) and will be used for framing and focus. The better color information provided by the component option is unimportant to me. Will I achieve a higher resolution picture with the component? And at this size, will it offer any benefits over composite when it comes to critical focus?

Aloha,
