Monitor out from an EX1 or EX3

I'm working on a mulit cam shoot with ex 1/3 cameras . I will be directing all camers and will be needing to monitor them. In the past I have used the rca out from the cameras .I know that the ex1 does not come with a RCA out. what do you suggest I use. I have 100 foot cables of rca and would like to use them , just not sure how to get the signal to the camera.
Any suggestions?

You can do S-Video, or RCA out from the EX1. I do it plenty. It even ships with the composite adapter necessary for this. You have to buy the S-Video one separately though but it's just a few bucks.

The cameras come with RCA (yellow composite and stereo L/R) cables. I don't know who told you/where you read that the EX1 doesn't come with those cables. See this picture: http://www.sonypmwex1rentaldcbaltimore.com/sonypmwex1package.jpg . You would just need an RCA coupler, more than likely female to female to hook to your 100 foot cable.

If you're device doesn't do pass through I know I have done one connection to the HD-SDI out and put my monitor on the component out at the same time. The component seems a little less saturated (probably less juice and its analog), but the HD-SDI signal remains the same.

Component out is still HD even though analog and uses RCA cables (different color codes). When using a generic RCA cable on my crane I use labels on each wire to keep track of the color changes.

Thanks for the help I'll check the cables that came with the camera . was not aware of these options
