Monitor Delay

I noticed that someone has just posted this video on You Tube. I can't say that I've ever noticed this kind of a delay with mine. I'm not where my camera is right now so I'll have to test this in the next day or so. Anyone else seeing this with their DVX200?

Looks like he's right..mine has a definite delay when viewed through the LCD, but never seen this test before...do other cameras do this too?
 
Yep. He is correct, we do Live Video to screen , we Have to use a different cameras because the DVX-200 has terrible delay !!. Gee it would be good if that can be fix with firmware. But Not holding my breath on this. just have to use the old X cameras for live jobs. If we shoot in HD, SDI Out, to sync every think there needs to be 6 frames of delay, (2/3 is acceptable )
 
yes I have noticed a tiny delay between the lcd screen when filming in 1080 25p, doesnt seem to happen in the other modes though.
 
So, 1080p/25 , DVX 200 is not accepted for live to screen production, l was at a job and they said the Panasonic has to much lag, PANASONIC FIX IT, !!!!!!!!! Please, Eg I have to set my switcher 7.5 frames of audio delay to sync it. That's unexceptable,,,,!!

Just wanted to write in to say that i have a horrible delay on the LCD monitor as well. Doing interviews is pretty annoying. I will have to pay attention more next time i shoot but it seems way more than 6 or 8 frames. The interview will start off fine but slowly go out but after a few minutes it is pretty far off. I guess i can do a quick basic test and see. Just wondered how many others have this problem and should i be sending this back to have fixed? Once again, not too happy with this purchase. I'd rather use my Samsung NX1 DSLR if it wasn't for recording audio externally. Well a few other things too but just not too happy with how much i had to spend to get this DVX200.
 
I, too have noticed a delay. Certainly not terrible. But I attributed it more to the refresh rate of my monitor and not the dvx200. I just ordered the ninja assassin. I'm curious to see how much of a lag there will be, if any.
 
I have a SmallHD AC-7-SDI. I briefly attached it to my DVX200 a few weeks ago but didn't notice a lag...of course, I wasn't looking for one at the time, but if I didn't notice it then it may not have been bad for me. When I get home this evening I will do some lag tests, SDI and HDMI outputs, LCD and EVF, and see if anything pisses me off. lol

I'll post my findings here.
 
I notice a little delay. But from my understanding it's a must, because any electronic needs time to work. Even if its "real time" it has a little lag or delay. Processing time. How much depends of the processing power.
