monitor calibration

I was wondering if there is anyway to set up a computer monitor to simulate a typical TV, at least in color. The other day I went to my local fox station to give them a commercial I did(they were recording the V.O. and then running it) and they had about 3 monitors(2 tv's 1 computer) and each gave my commercial a different look regarding colors and such. None of them made it look as it does on my computer or my TV. So I really want to know if there is any way to set up my monitor so that I can optimize looks for an average TV set.

Thanks

There instructions on the web to calibrate monitors based on the colro chart. That will help but it's difficult to get some computer monitors to match since most of them has different characterists than a real video production monitor. An LCD monitor is even more difficult to truly match.

Every home TV is setup different so the most you so the best you can do is color correcton a production monitor to a standard.
