Re: Mongolia documentary

wooow I like the 3rd one mucho mucho..how did you get those nice clouds?? Polarizer??

Re: Mongolia documentary

I agree, the third one is excellent. Is it just me or is that eagle HUGE? :o

Re: Mongolia documentary

You know, those eagles have a 6-7 feet wingspan. You don't realize just how big they are until you see one close by...

The third image is really nice but it looks like it has a lot of noise in it. Did you have to adjust the levels significantly? It strikes me as an image that started off quite dark....just curious, that does not take away from how beautiful it is. I like the composition of the second one also.

One last thing, it looks like it is stretched out horizontally... are these stills posted at the right aspect ratio?

Keep up the good work.

Re: Mongolia documentary

Great shots!  You have a good eye for scene composition.

Fascinating stuff!  It's amazing to think that this nomadic culture once spead its influence and power from the shores of Japan to the Middle East and even into Europe.  Amazing.

Re: Mongolia documentary

"Man's greatest good fortune is to chase and defeat his enemy, seize his total possessions, leave his married women weeping and wailing, ride his gelding, and use the bodies of his women." - Genghis Khan

It was this quote that was used in Conan the Barbarian:

"Conan, what is best in life?
“To crush my enemy, to see him driven before me, and to hear the lamentations of the women."

Re: Mongolia documentary

Those are very cool. That's a country I need to visit. Yes, that third photo just calls out to tell a story. And jeesh, I want a pet eagle. :D

what about american bald eagles? they're like the size of you. I never want to run into one of those. but alas, they're becoming extinct.

Re: Mongolia documentary

Nice grabs!
My eyes were moved by the first and second grabs. The third one is ok too, but the two first ones caught my eyes.

All the best

Fidel.

Re: Mongolia documentary

Them eagles are cool, i watched this nature program once, where they mounted a camera on an eagle and filmed it in flight, it makes flying monovers that a even a flighter jet would be incabable of!
