Am I reading that Avid now does 1080 24PA pulldown at the file level??

they do not mention anywhere and no one is for sure if there is pulldown at the file level. the new project setting for 1080p/29.97 is just basically 30P option instead of 60i option, just like the DVX can shoot 60i interlaced, or 30p progressive at a 30 frame base timecode. has nothing to do with pulldown
