Mojo and Mojo SDI

I am using an old Mojo (meaning that a non-SDI version). When I choose the Project Type from Format as 1080i/50 or 1080i/50 HDV, the square buttom on the upper left hand side of the timeline has only 1394 option, no DNA for me to choose. However, if I choose 25i PAL, then DNA option becomes available again. Is it because old Mojo doesn't support HD?
As I am using an external projector for my editing, choosing 25i PAL means that I am still watching SD resolution -- although my projector is HD ready. Am I correct?
Therefore, if I want to watch HD resolution when I am doing my editing, I have to either buy a new Mojo SDI or conncet my computer 1394 to a the HVX200, and HV200 hooks up to the projector by the component cable. Am I correct?
Thank you very much.

Mojo ( old analog AND new SDI version) is SD only. If you use one on a HD project, you can switch temporarily to SD for realtime downconversion to an SD monitor.

So, a Mojo SDI will NOT help you.

Connecting the HVX to 1394 won't work either: the HVX doesn't output HD to component when set to firewire input.

The only way to get HD out of an Avid, is with an Adrenaline with a DNxHD optional board.

But, as of version 5.5.x/ 2.5.x of XPress, Media Composer,... it is possible to switch the source/record monitors to fullscreen.

Thanks a lot, eLeventy.
My feeling after reading your reply is why Mojo SDI then?
Can you tell me how to "switch the source/record monitors to fullscreen," so that HD image can be projected?
Also, if I connect HVX directly to a HD ready projector by the component cable (not using Avid at all), am I then watching HD resoultion?
By the way, as you explain so well about this Mojo issue to me, do you think you can help me about the thread regarding to choose the project fromat that I posted before?
Thank you very much.

Well, quit simple, if you want SD SDI in/out, but don't wan't to buy an Adrenaline for cost or size reasons. We're using them for field editing( laptop), because we still are in an SD world for the moment, and the Mojo is about the only compact Analog/SDI firewirebridge available.

Shift + Control + F ( if you have version 5.5 or above), but it can be bound to any key you like.

Yep, playback from P2 card gives HD playback over component, although, for some reason I've never actually tried that. Mhhh, strange. Must do that some day...

Isn't this changing with the advent of Blu Ray and HD-DVD burners (only now coming online I realize)?

Is there some compression from Avid to an HD-DVD?
