I've been trying to reduce Moire Problems while using 24P. I've been trying Thin vs.Thick, detail on /off, etc... & it appears to me Thick with detail off reduces significantly Moire problems much better than Thin. Maybe my monitor, camera LCD & Laptop are causing this. I don't know. Slow pans & tilits are really bad sometimes, while faster speeds over these problem areas solve the issue.
I'm running the camera directly into my laptop using DV Rack so I think I'm getting a fairly accurate quality full screen image. I've turned detail all the way down...this should be the worst resolution but it looks better to me for overall filming in some of these shots than Thin.
Anyone else play with this sort of thing & what results have you had & remedies?
