mods: is my PC being blocked?

The PC I normally use to view this site cannot display any of the pages, and reports that the site does not exist.

I have performed a tracert and evrything is fine until the last hop at dvxuser which does not give a response.

None of the other PC's on my LAN have this problem and it looks like your firewall is blocking my IP.

Please can you look into this.

My IP is 195.224.16.143

I spent the last 24hrs wondering why dvxuser was down and waiting for viewing to open.
 
update:

I manually changed the IP address on my PC, and now it can access the site. So this is def a problem at your end.
 
I had this same problem. PM Jason Ramsey with your IP. There was a crash that blacklisted some IPs. The Mods got me back up and running. send IPs to jason.
 
I'm being blocked and I use Comcast. Been trying to connect all day. It's done this once or twice before too. Able to connect using my Verizon Wireless Card, but not my hard Comcast connection.
 
Since I use the Opera browser, I get blocked and have to use workarounds to post comments.
Although, this is a recurring problem on Scarletuser too.
After attempting to log in, the site says I can't access the page, then I have to jump back to the main page, where it does show I'm logged in, and then I go right back to the original page I was viewing, but I have to click quote in order to access the reply box. Pretty weird, and only happens when using Opera and trying to comment here or at Scarletuser.

Blocked!!!

Please Help!!! I keep getting blocked.... Even my air card gets bloced after a few minunts then I have to reconnect to get new IP and re-log in..... THis has been going on for over a week now...... I already pm'd jason ramsay my ip address..... Can anyone help???:badputer:
 
In the news they have been talking about several denial of service attacks.

Seems to be up now though.

Been blocked here for 2 1/2 weeks (I'm cribbing my PB onto an unsuspecting neighbor's wifi right now). Multiple emails to Jason Ramsey, no fix (in fairness, I gave him the wrong IP address initially, but that was a while ago). This is completely ridiculous. Never heard of anything like it before...

Fix it please!

Jason, a Member here emailed me with the same problem. I have since sent him a copy of your last post here and he should be emailing you shortly.

He's in QuestFest so it's probably important for him to get back in so he can vote and such.

i recently ran into this issue too.

here's the run down as far as i understand it:

1. everything was fine for a long time
2. suddenly i can't load dvxuser.com....'connection reset' error msgs.
3. something changed at dvxuser.com so that lots of people suddenly can't connect.

i've found out that this has something to do with Comcast (in my case) and the way their modem works. the fix is to restart your modem, connect a computer to the modem directly first. then power up and connect the modem to your router. then edit the router's settings and clone the MAC address stored in the modem. then turn everything off and restart in sequence - modem - router - computer.

this is working so far. we'll see for how long!

maybe something about the new security settings is more strict and not allowing these types of connections....for some reason it sees them as suspicious and not valid and then blocks us.
 
It's nothing to do with comcast. I actually have comcast.

Long story short, the host banned some i.p's after some issues, and some innocent folks got caught in that.

All you need to do if you are currently unable to connect to dvxuser is email me your i.p. address

go to whatismyip.org and email the results to jason at landmine dot tv

Your tinkering with yoru modem and all probably just caused you to obtain a new i.p. which took care of the problem for you. However, if your i.p.'s cycle, you may run into the problem again.

For 99.9% of people, it's going to be as simple as emailing your i.p. address to me. I've only had one person who's problem persisted but he receives a new i.p. nightly... I think last night we caught the culprit though and hope that he is back online for good.

Sorry about the problems that a few of you have had. It was an unfortunate side effect of a necessary step at the time.

I whitelisted that i.p. but I don't think it was blacklisted to begin with...

Just keep an eye on your i.p. and email any changes to me so long as yoou continue to have issues.
