looks pretty good but anamorphic is only 16:9 The clip looks more like 2.35
how did you accomplish that???

I have heard that if you render an anamorphic shot in rectangular pixels it well give that 2.35 effect.... Anyone know about this???

cool thanx fer the info, i have heard of that technique before... But wasnt sure "still not sure" how to execute it.... lock on the anamprohic lens than use letterbox mode??? sorry the almost nubie`ness. :o

The audio sounded horrible very distorted but you were in a night club and I am sure you were not hooked up to their board to get good clean audio. If I were you, I would have just layed over some of your own music and matched it up to the people dancing at least that way it would have sounded a lot cleaner! I am glad you interviewed Kaila outside or in another room. It would have been garbage had you done it in the club part.

So are you based in Philly? I work in Philly and was going to roll up in Club Transit over this past weekend.

Yeah, I'm based in Philly and do a lot of club shoots. I'll be working Hot Import Nights this weekend.

So you do car shows too huh? I just did the Ocean City Show 3 weeks ago...planning to go back and shoot the Funkmaster Flex celebrity show in a few months. The Hot Import Nights show is going to be blazin! I shot some footage for the News at last year's show. Lot's of hot cars and LOTS of HOT chicks! General admission is $25 for a 7 hour show! That is nuts....As long as I have my gear with me and my press ID's...I will just walk in there.

its a dark elf... i really look like obi wan from episode 1,2 its true,I wanted a siamese cat for my icon but couldnt find one so the dark elf is a throw back to one of the first videos i made i taped my AD&D Reunion game with my old gaming buddies.

It looks like my Dark elf character from that time Dakstrom a.k.a Darkstorm He was good guy though dont let the dark look fool ya....... ;D

So.. you shoot Anamporphic?? and then set it to letterbox mode in camera???? Sorry but know one clarified that above statement........... ???

Man, you know there's some serious geeks in here when the discussion focuses on things like "anamorphic adapter vs 2.35:1." instead of pointing out the important stuff about the video like:

There should have been more chicks, more close ups of chicks, more chicks shakin' their stuff etc. etc.

I got plenty of videos of females shaking their stuff in thongs and very skimpy clothing...Did I say PLENTY!!! I don't have a way to post my work or I will have done it by now....I agree more females should have been captured by the lens of his shoot! LOL!

Yup I know....I have been competing at car shows since 1997...I got enough 1st place trophies so I gave up competing for now anyway. I might start working on another car this fall. I just shoot the videos now though....and the best part of those shows are the Bikini contests!!! :) Or the lack thereof!

Hey, I don't know what you use to edit, but these club videos might look maybe a little more interesting and/or polished if you tweaked the picture a little more in post. More specifically, I think higher contrast, higher saturation, and some color correction would be nice. A lot of "trendy" club videos these days really blow out the highlights and shadows and they always use that crazy yellowish/orangish filter. Or sometimes they use a blue or green filter for more rave-like stuff. But that's not important. It just seems to me it would be cool if you did a little more work in post to make your stuff really stand out, since you were saying you do a lot of club shoots. But of course I don't know what limitations you have with editing software and this is all just my opinion. Other than that, keep up the good work!

thanks for the advice. I use FCP 4.5 and I'm still pretty new with it.
But def need to get more software (Boris, AE, etc)
