Mock music video shot on DVX100

This is actually an invitation to an open mic and oyster roast party.
It's held every six months. It's not karaoke, you must play your own music. The music for the video was writen and performed by the guy who throws the party. I was the director and editor. We also had the use of a stedi-cam mini operator.

Any comments are welcome. Sorry the compression is rough.

There are past invites linked at the top of the page. Not shot on DVX100.

Thanks,

Cool video, nice catchy song. What was it shot on? I did notice the steadycam operators shadow on a few subjects :-/, but thats just a minor thing in an otherwise very good video.
Keep it up.

Re: Mock music video shot on DVX100

Thanks. Yeah the stedicam did get in there. However, we did shoot and edit the whole thing in 2 days with no money at all.
Not sure what you mean by "What was it shot on?"

Re: Mock music video shot on DVX100

Well, I just meant what camera was it shot on since you said it wasnt shot on the DVX100.

It was shot on the DVX100.
There are links to past oyster fest invites we did at the top of the page. Those were shot with a GL1.

Re: Mock music video shot on DVX100

Congratulations. I loved it. Not only the camera-editing-film work but also the song, great lyrics. Big thumbs up! One question still, did you already have experience with your "steadycam" before shooting this lovely clip?

Re: Mock music video shot on DVX100

Thanks.
Actually, the guy who worked the stedicam owns it. He owns a film equipment rental business. He had seen some of my other work and asked if he could be a part of this one. He said he had only used it a few times.
Worked out great for me. I got a free stedicam with and operator so I could direct rather than work the camera.
