Mobile Video Editing...PC or MAC

Personally, I prefer Macs since there always seems to be less problems that arise. Also the Mac OS is a bit more versatile with regards to file formates and media. I know the PC also can be versatile, but its always a struggle.
The PC your gonna get more bang for your buck though. But for general video editing needs both will be powerful enough (Processor power)... so it comes down to storage (you will need to plug in fast external drives - USB 3, Firewire, Serial, etc.), size (how easy it is to transport), software, and lastly have a look at the screen quality.
My wife's Sony Viao is pretty, but she cant use the crap screen for her photo editing needs.

This is . . . not so. Generally agree with the rest of your post, though.

If youre going to use Final Cut then the Mac it is... but for all other software I prefer the PC. Theres just so much more you can do on a PC at the end of the day. And as far as problems go... avoid using your editing computer for things like internet porn and you should be just fine... Windows 7 x64 is stable as a rock.
