Mmmmmmm... Monitor is acting weird..

Does my monitor have a drinking problem? :huh:

Set-up: HVX200 and Marshall Nebteck monitor. This is my 3rd time using it.

Worked great the first two times (both time in P2 card mode). Last time I used the HVX on TAPE for the first time. I was filming auditions and didn't want to waste P2 space. So used a tape.

Hence I was no longer in High def.

I started seeing flickering lines occasionally appearing across the monitor screen.

I was using my component cable at the time. It JUST hit me tonight that I think that cable is for High Def and shooting on tape I no longer was.

Is that why I saw the flickers?

I have not had a chance to retest my monitor with P2 card mode, running around right now like crazy, so thought I'd ask here.

So, nobody has any insight regarding this?

I did think about one thing since I posted. I was, at the time, filming on MiniDV tape and so I no longer was in High def, but still using component cable. Maybe that was the problem?

I used my monitor at the LA user meet , back to high def on P2 card in my HVX200, and I did not see the glitch once.

Anyone?

same thing happened to me! I had to send it in to get the firmware updated.
