MKH-60 similar mic, advice needed...

I shoot my last shortfilm using a rented MKH60 mic, I was very pleased with the results. Now I'm starting to shot a feature, and I was wonder if there's a similar quality mic around, I don't want to rent again 'cause it will cost to much, I'm looking for a cheaper mic, but quality must be great.

Any advices?

PS: I record the sound directly to my DVX100b
 
I prefer the Schoeps Mk41 to the Sennheiser, but it is also expensive. There's a noticeable change after those two, but it really depends on what you are recording.
 
Have you considered an MKH416? Very similar to the MKH60 (its successor), but at a lower price. Additionally, there are plenty of well-maintained used 416s on the market.

There is no other mic. on the market that is like the MKH 60.

It's much cleaner than other microphones, has lower noise, lower distortion and higher output. It has the symmetrical capsule that vastly reduces intermodulation distortion.

Microphones like the MKH 416 and Røde NTG3 are lower output and noisier.

If you want an MKH 60 there is no other alternative.

Yes, there are other short gun mics that have a similar polar-pattern; but none at all that sound like the MKH 60.

To make it clear - the MKH 60 is the successor of the MKH 416 (the 60 is about 12 years younger).

The MKH 60 is a lot better than the MKH 416 - but the 416 is loved by so many people that it was kept in production.

I'm not an audio guy, I know very little about audio, but my last short recorded with the MKH60 sounded great.
I didn't know it was the best mic around, in fact I can't believe it!
I mean is it the top quality mic?
