Mixing slo-mo 720P and 1080P

Sorry if this has been brought up before, but I couldn't find a satisfactory answer in any other threads.

I'm planning a shoot that will have lots of slow-motion and regular footage mixed together. Should we shoot exclusively 720P, or shoot 1080P whenever possible, and 720P only for the slomo?

I did a test, but couldn't see much of a difference between 720 and 1080, on a (consumer) 41" HD TV or computer monitor scaled to either resolution.

Final format will likely be 720-24P, but options are open.

I think you are totally right when looking at the footage on a consumer or lower end HD monitor. You'd notice the difference on the higher end and also the bigger monitors. you have a pretty good strategy though as I've done that quite a bit. I'd say just to make sure that you have a good workflow for your NLE. cheers
