I'm shooting a film at the moment on the GH13. I'm using nikkor lenses 24mm AI, 35mm AI, 50mm AI.
I'm finding a lot of my wider shots softer than I'd like them to be when I have an aperture of 5.6 or lower. I try not to stop down below 5.6 for shots where the talent/subject is more than 4 or 5 meters away from the camera, but sometimes it's not possible.
I've read the 20mm f1.7 is very sharp, and the footage I've seen of it seems to suggest this. I'm seriously considering getting one, specifically for wider and low light shots.
I understand that the pana lenses are more contrasty and sharper than the nikkors. If I used my nikkors with the 20mm, would they cut together alright? or is it a no no to mix lenses. (I am grading the film - realistically rather than expressionistically)
Thanks
