mixing PAL dvcam footage w/DVX

Have some footage shot on a PD 150, PAL (I believe DVCAM) - wondering what software I could use to get a conversion without loosing quality. I know one option is to get the tape converted over but that can be expensive and rather invest in some software if the can match it up. DVX Footage is shot on F5, I believe the PAL footage is 25p.

Any help appreciated!!
Thanks

I recently converted PAL to NTSC by deinteralcing, slowing it down to 24p (4% slower), resizing and then applying a 2:3 pulldown. It came out better than a normal converted footage (which is interpolated to keep the speed but looses a lot of sharpness and contrast) if you don't mind the speed change. Also stuff converted with the pulldown method fits in better with you 24p DVX footy. If you need to convert while keeping the speed I recommend Canopus ProCoder which does a pretty good conversion.
I'm on a Mac and I used the RS Fields Kit in FCP to de-interlace, then Cinema Tools to conform the clip to 24p and then fields kit in FCP again to apply the pulldown. I guess you could do all completely in AFX as well.

Hey thanks moebius, never thought of doing it that way!

I was also told Graemme Nattress (sp?) had some converting tools, but I am not sure what the results are with that. Anyone know?

Thanks again
