Mixing HVX200 and T2i footage in FCP

Hi everyone,

I'm going to compete in a film race in a couple of weeks and what to get any thoughts or guidance on mixing HVX200 footage with Canon T2i footage. I'm going to transcode them to Pro Res but I just want to have a few ideas on workflows so the editing process can run as smoothly as possible
 
As a suggestion, I would convert to the codec that is most prominent.

If you have more HVX200 footage, convert the Canon footage to DVCProHD.
