Mixing HVX Stock Lens footage with HVX/Letus Footage

The Letus is great for shallow depth of field shots, but the fact that you can't stop down past f5.6 without getting a lot of grain can be a problem if your ever trying to achieve deep DOF for a certain shot.

I've always wondered, if you needed deep DOF for a certain shot, and you took the letus off and just shot it with the fixed HVX lens, would you be able to cut it with your letus shots without a problem? Or is there a noticeable difference between a shot with a letus/nikon and the fixed lens other than the DOF?

You can match things up pretty well. I sometimes shoot with the stock lens for certain shots, mostly when using a jib or at night.

Yeah thats what I was thinking, mostly for Jib shots where it'd be hard to pull focus. So the footage is pretty easily mixeable?

I use a 'letus' scene file - boosting detail & lowering master ped and a slight color shift towards blue. Footage recorded with this scene file seem to match a bare HVX better.
